Ledger® Live: Login | Getting Started™ Guide

Ledger® Live is the official software to manage your Ledger® hardware wallet. This guide will walk you through logging in, navigating the interface, and securely managing your cryptocurrencies.

Download Ledger® Live

Start by connecting your Ledger® device to your computer using the USB cable. Open Ledger® Live, then select the device type.

Enter your PIN code securely on your device to access Ledger® Live. The PIN ensures that even if your device is connected to an untrusted computer, your assets remain protected.

After successful login, you can view your dashboard with all your accounts, portfolio statistics, and recent transactions.

The Dashboard provides a snapshot of your cryptocurrency holdings. It displays balances, total portfolio value, and recent activity.

Use the navigation menu to access Accounts, Send/Receive functions, and Settings. Ledger® Live’s interface is designed to be intuitive and secure.

To send crypto, select the account, click “Send,” enter the recipient address and amount, and confirm on your device. Always double-check the address to avoid errors.

Receiving crypto is simple. Click “Receive” to display your wallet address. Share it safely with the sender. Ledger® Live also provides QR codes for easy transfers.

Ledger devices support multiple cryptocurrencies through dedicated apps. Open Ledger® Live and navigate to the “Manager” tab.

Connect your device and install apps for Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other supported cryptocurrencies. Each app allows Ledger® Live to manage that asset securely.

Never share your 24-word recovery phrase. Ledger® Live never asks for this phrase. Your PIN should remain confidential.

Always ensure Ledger® Live is updated to the latest version. Firmware updates provide essential security improvements.

If Ledger® Live does not detect your device, check USB connections and try another cable. Ensure your device firmware is up to date.
